Udny Green Church

Udny Green is the site of a chapel and church with burial ground. There was a chapel of the Holy Trinity here, commonly called Christ's Kirk.

In 1606 a larger church was built to replace Christ's Kirk. The church was located within the old graveyard on the south side of the green. This was in turn replaced in 1821 by a new Parish Church, by architect John Smith, on a new site on the northern side of the green.

There is now no trace of the church of Christ's Kirk.

There are a few 18th and early 19th century stones in the old graveyard, also the Pitmedden (Setons) and Pittrichie burial enclosures, as well as a distinctive round mort house. The graveyard contains the Commonwealth war grave of Gunner Alexander Black, Royal Artillery, who died 12 October 1942.
